Hi,

Is there a way to achieve polyrythm (not polymeter) ie running a track in 4/4 and another one in another signature ? 🤨

Hi Doc!

Have you tried to use the track length mode? You can make each track or every track shorter (in other words, you can change from a 4/4 to a 3/4, 2/4...). But is true that the duration of each step will be the same. I hope that this info helps you.

Hi @doc

Eloquencer is capable of polymetrics and some specific cases of polyrythmics.

You can use track length  (FUNC + TRK LEN).

If you set track A length to 16 steps, you will have a 4/4 there, if you set track B length to 12 steps you will have a 3/4 there. You need to de-attach both tracks (specially track B) from master track in order to have them running free (not being reset each time when the master tracks reaches its end) ( FUNC + OPTIONS > Track reset config. and attach/ de-attach tracks using track buttons).

Additionally you can combine this with ratcheting to have some more complex polyrythmics. You can't achieve all polyrytm cases (infinite) but you can have some interesting and musical cases using this two features.
