I've tried out the new track CC Parameters 87/88 (great feature!) and discovered a typo in the beta firmware feature news:

CH 9-16 (track) CC 87: octave down (instead up)

CH 9-16 (track CC88: octave up (instead down)

@wintermodular

Is there any way to make the firmware updatable by using the SD card ?

If you are having problems, updating via USB and you own a beastep pro or keystep, then use the USB-cable from that devices.

I am sure, this will fix the problem. I came up with this solution, after testing a lot of cables.

Just in time, because i was only a moment away from running amok …

I noticed a possible bug.

I am clocking the eloquencer with the keystep pro with a cv clock. I have the Reset In set to Rst Trigg. If I stop the keystep and start it again, the eloquencer restarts in time as it should. However, if I am multiplying the incoming clock from the keystep and stop the sequence, the eloquencer advances two steps into the sequence after I stop. I have to hit stop twice on the keystep in order for the eloquencer to restart in time.

Hi @ddoyen !

I think I have solved the issue related with the multiplied external clock, will be avaolable in the next FW release.

Thanks for the feedback !! 🙂

@wintermodular are you going to post the new one in this thread or should I´ll be watching the "firmware update" forum?

Thanks!

I am happy to see this feature in the beta:

Possibility to change notes using a MIDI keyboard. Being in CV step edition mode and pressing a keyboard key while holding the desired step

Question:

When I hit the note on the MIDI keyboard, can I also listen to the note I'm entering via the Eloquencer's current channel's CV and Gate outputs?

Hi @systemcall !

It depends on the configuration you have in 'pre-listen'  (In OPTIONS)

Ok, after turning pre-listen on, it does play when I press the step buttons, but because I have to press the step and *then* press the MIDI keyboard note, what I hear is the *old* note and not the new note.  Maybe it needs to be the other way around where you press and hold the MIDI keyboard note, and then press the step button?  Thanks!

Or better yet would be you press and hold a step button, it plays (pre-listen), and while still holding it down, each time you press a note on the MIDI keyboard it changes the pitch CV of the step *and* retriggers the CV and Gate output so you can hear the new note.

Hi @john,

I'm afraid it is not yet ready, I'm not good at software delivery estimations. -_-'

Most of the things are ready, but there is just one thing I need to finish.

Well, that's a lot better than 12 things needing to be finished. And the truth is I only check about once a week. Firmware and bugs are definitely the hardest part of building stuff. Thanks for the seriously quick update 🙂

You and most developers on the planet- it's hard. Don't feel bad- it's better this way than over-promising 😉
